Liberty Lightning Baseball is a travel baseball program designed to help players develop their skills through practice as well as game settings.
The programming has been developed to cater to the youth & high school players with skill-focused workouts for overall improvement and development.
The attention to detail with each and every player ensures that developmental needs are addressed, and results follow shortly thereafter. Coaches in the Liberty Lightning Baseball program will be following a winning formula for results on & off the field.
We teach confidence, a winning attitude, process, managing failure, professionalism, strategy, preparation, energy, and being a great teammate. Off the field we emphasize academics, leadership, communication skills, accountability, character, honestly and work ethic.

What is Liberty Lightning travel Baseball?
Liberty Lightning travel baseball is a competitive travel baseball organization that will compete in select tournaments in the spring/summer 2017.
When will tryouts for the Liberty Lightning be held?
The tryouts will be held on December 21st & 22nd. Both dates are from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. There is an ADDITIONAL TRYOUT on JANUARY 26TH. REGISTER HERE >> 01/26 TRYOUTS
How much does it cost to try-out for the Liberty Lightning baseball program?
The cost of the tryout is $20 for each participant. Players successful in tryouts will have that $20 of their tryout fee applied towards final registration costs.
How many tryouts does my child need to attend and what is the selection process like?
It is recommended that each player attend (1) tryout because selections will be based on coach evaluations of performance during the tryout period.
Does the Liberty Lightning travel baseball program have different age groups?
YES; there will be a 10U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 16U & 18U team. It is our intention to have only (1) team per age division in the inaugural liberty Lightning season. Final decision on the number of teams will be made during assessments.
If my child is selected to a team, how much does it cost to participate in the Liberty Lightning program?
If selected to a team you will be notified via email or phone call from our Director of Baseball Operations. Upon that you will be asked to complete registration. Registration Costs for the Liberty Lightning at all age groups is $750. If selected to a team, $20 from tryouts will be applied towards registration costs.
The payment installments are as follows:
($20 tryout fee is already deducted from the total balance due of $750)
January 6th payment of $275
February 3rd payment of $230
March 3rd final balance of $225
This fee covers tournament entries, uniforms, insurance, indoor practices. Travel costs such as meals and hotels are not included in your registration.
Who will be the coaches for the Liberty Lightning teams?
Our Director of Baseball Operations will be assigning coaches to each team. Each team will be notified of their coach after tryouts are completed.
During the liberty Lightning travel season, where will the events be held?
All of our teams will be scheduled to different tournaments. There is a possibility your team will play in a tournament held as close as Mansfield University or as far away as NJ for our older teams. As we are a travel baseball organization, all teams should expect to participate in at least (1) overnight tournament this spring 2017.
How many days a week/month will the teams practice?
Each player with the Liberty Lightning teams will receive approximately 10 weeks of practice time. This will typically involve 2-3 practices per month during January – March. The practices will range from 1 ½- 2 hours.
What dates will practices be held?
Practice schedule will be determined by your head coach after rosters are determined.
How many events will my child be participating in during the Liberty Lightning season?
10, 12,13U Divisions will play in (2) spring tournaments + admission into our W2 indoor league.
Tournaments for the 10-13U divisions will be held in May.
14, 16,18U Divisions will play in (3) summer tournaments
Tournaments for the 14-18U divisions will be held in June & July.
What type of uniform & items do the players receive?
Team jersey, hat, shorts, tee-shirt, bat pack, cage jacket, belt & socks.

How will we receive information during the season?
Liberty Lightning is a website-driven organization. We will provide updates on tournaments and practices on our website. If you have schedule query, always check our website first before calling or emailing. Also, coaches will be issued emails for teams, in order to provide any necessary dialogue with families during the season.
